Hong Kong Medical Consultants is appointed as the operator of the Community Vaccination Centre (CVC) at the Kowloon Bay Sports Centre
(Hong Kong, February 24, 2021)
Hong Kong Medical Consultants (HKMC) and Hong Kong College of Nursing feel privileged and honoured to participate in the running of the Community Vaccination Centre (CVC) at the Kowloon Bay Sports Centre. Our team will operate under the direction of HKSAR Government to provide the medical and nursing aspects of the vaccination services to administer CoronaVac, provided by the Sinovac Biotech (Hong Kong) Limited.
HKMC will collaborate with Hong Kong College of Nursing seamlessly to form a multi-disciplinary medical and nursing team with strong academic expertise, clinical experience and governance. We will humbly try our best to provide a safe, efficient and hospitable vaccination program.
The Chairman of HKMC, Dr. Kenneth WT Tsang said, “We are honoured to serve the people of Hong Kong in this COVID-19 Vaccination Programme. This programme is of paramount importance in order to safeguard public health and will hopefully help resume normal activities in our society. Our strong partnership with Hong Kong College of Nursing, under the leadership of Professor Thomas KS Wong PhD JP, with a strong team comprising over 20 medical specialists and 200 experienced nurses, vehemently aims to deliver quality services. It is our mission to defeat COVID-19 together with Hong Kong people”.
Professor Thomas KS Wong PhD JP, Vice-President of Hong Kong College of Nursing said, “We have established a stringent programme governance and a COVID-19 Vaccination Committee to supervise all medical affairs, including professionalism of medical and nursing staff, weekly audit of patient load, and proactive actions to improve our services. We will have regular dialogue with the HKSAR Government on vaccination issues to make this vaccination programme a success”.
