HKMC endeavours to nurture a caring society through actively participating in volunteer activities and championing charitable programmes.
Dr. Eddie Cheung, Paediatrician in-charge of our Paediatric Centre, has been the Medical Advisor of Hong Kong Association for Cleft Lip and Palate since 2011. He offers free medical advice and health counselling to children with cleft lip and palate. During the Opening of our Paediatric Centre, we have collected $5,000 from attendees for cash donation to the Association.
To further render support to the Association, we have placed the Association’s donation box at the Paediatric Centre to help them raise funds and promote their mission. This is the 3rd donation box placing at our clinics for supporting charitable organizations (2 donation boxes of Impact HK have been placed at two of our clinics). 10 dollars or 100 dollars might not seem much. But when many people are giving, the amount gathered could be amazing.

The Hong Kong Association for Cleft Lip and Palate was founded in late 1991 with an aim of helping children suffering from cleft lip or palate to have normal mental and intellectual development by the support and experience-sharing among the parents. The Association also promotes acceptance of the general public towards cleft lip and palate patients.
