What is colorectal cancer
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in Hong Kong. It includes cancers in colon, rectum, etc., which are generally evolved from benign polyp.
Risk factors
Colorectal cancer is associated with poor lifestyle, such as obesity, excessive consumption of red meat and processed food, inadequate intake of fibers, but risk may also be increased with family history and for those who developed colorectal polyp previously.
Diagnosis and treatment
Colonoscopy could be used for either diagnostic and therapeutic purpose and remove polyp, if any, on the spot.
